Celebrate Turku Day with us!

Join us this Sunday in Turku as we celebrate Turku Day with a workshop about our Kupittaan kärki partnership project. Turku Day, which was first held in 1961, is an annual event which celebrates all aspects of the City.

Kupittaan kärki is an urban development project by Lundén Architecture Company, YIT, Architects von Boehm-Renell Oy, in collaboration with COBE, WSP, and AFRY. It is situated beside the Kupittaa train station, which will be connected by tram to the city centre in the future. The aim of the project is to transform the industrial area into a vibrant district for innovation and expertise as well as strengthen Turku’s urban landscape with lush and biodiverse green and blue areas. Kupittaan kärki will be the first implementation of a broader vision for the Turku Science Park.

The Turku Day workshop will take place in the Turku City Hall from 12-15 on Sunday, 17.9. There you can hear more about the project and participate in a workshop that focuses on formulating new ideas for public outdoor spaces. We look forward to an inspirational and fun day!

The event is organized by the City of Turku and Lundén Architecture Company.
